Mohammed Ismali Sherif known in the musical scenes as Black Sherif was born on January 9, 2022. He hails from Konongo in the Ashanti Region of Ghana. His rapping style and catchy hooks and choruses has earned him wide acclaim among his fans.

Born and raised in Konongo-Zongo, Black Sherif’s parents both lived overseas. He stayed with his auntie and other members of the extended family. The nomadic nature of his childhood contributed to his exposure to different lifestyles and cultures. He attended The Konongo Zongo Islamic Basic School where he obtained a Junior High School certificate. He then proceeded to the Kumasi Academy where he obtained his senior high school education. It was during his senior high school days that Sherif developed interest in music and dancing. For his tertiary education, he first attended the University of Professional Studies(UPSA) but later dropped out. He’s currently studying at the University of Ghana.
