The National Communications Authority (NCA) has introduced a shortcode that would allow Ghana Card holders check to verify the number of SIM cards linked to their card.
With this, Sim Card users m can find out how many Sims are linked to their Ghana card. This will go a long way to minimize fraud or unauthorized link to SIM cards. Anytime someone tries linking to a Ghana card, the owner of the card will be notified via text message.
What is the Short Code for Checking linked SIM cards?
The short code given by the NCA is *404*1#. This code will require no internet access, airtime or money. It will help people to check sims linked to their Ghana Cards.
Steps to Check for the Number of SIM Cards Linked to your Ghana Card
- On your phone, dial *402*1# (all networks)
- Select 1 to Check Sims
- Then Enter your Ghana Card Number in the format: GHA-XXXXXXXX-X
- After that, Enter your Date of Birth in the format: (DDMMYYYY)
- After successfully inputting your details, your registered phone number(s) will be sent to you via SMS
- You will receive the message from 404
From here, you can now check for the number of Sims linked to your account
