Kirshnik Khari Ball who goes by the stage name Takeoff (Migos) was an American rapper and songwriter born on 18th, June 1994 and unfortunately died on November 1, 2022.

Take off was a member of hip hop trio Migos which consists of his Uncle Quavo, and his cousin, Offset. Migos was an Atlanta based hip hop group which was rumored to have been disbanded not long ago.

25 days before Takeoff’s death he released a collaborative album with Quavo titled Only Built for Infinity Links. Just the night before his death he released the music video for Messy which he made together with Uncle and fellow Migos member Quavo on his YouTube channel.

Details Surrounding his Death

Takeoff lost his life on the 1st of November of 2022 aged 28 in Houston, Texas, U.S. He was shot dead at a party held at Houston bowling alley. He was found laying dead in cold blood after being shot three times in the torso and head. The police reported him dead at the scene around 2:48am.

There were two other victims of the shooting incident who sustained injuries but are expected to survive.

Takeoff was with Quavo at the party. Quavo was blamed for being the cause of the shooting incidence which eventually lead to Takeoff’s murder.

The cause of the shooting is as of now known to be a misunderstanding in a game of dice between Quavo and some other guys.

Takeoff is just the latest rapper to have been murdered through gun violence after artistes such as Nipsey Hussle, XXXTENTACION, Pop Smoke and King Von.

Reactions after his death 

Following Takeoff’s death, many celebrities such as Snoop Dogg, Ric Flair, Chris Eubank Jr., Dave, Mike Tyson, Keri Hilson, LeBron James, Kanye West and Beyoncé have taken to their social media platforms to offer their condolences.

Bayern Munich player, Benjamin Pavard also paid tribute to Takeoff through his goal celebration where he made a dab gesture which was popularized by Migos.
